Yup after that we went to find his parents then went to walk around a bit. I had a play to attend that night so couldn't have dinner with his whole family, but his mum suggested eating at a restaurant in the hotel they were staying that they had tried the week earlier. It's called Mandarin Court. Again, courtesy of his mum (:/)

A day of good (hotel) food
We had our 10 day late Valentine's day lunch yesterday, and somehow it turned into a day of pigging out good food. We had lunch at Ristorante Bologna, courtesy of his mum. It's at Mandarin Orchard, in town. The spread wasn't that big but the food was good.
Round One: Pizza, prawns, tuna and potato salad. The pizza was okay, very burnt but tasted good. Prawns were soooo fresh. Tuna was normal. Potato salad was different, not what we expected, but the potatoes they used were good.
Hands down the BEST potato soup I have every had. I had two bowls haha.
Round Three: Fritatas, clams, corn cake I think it was called, vegetarian pasta, lamb. The fritatas were a little strange to me cause the fritatas I make have more potato than egg in them.. And also there was this weird kerosene taste to it. Clams were good, though the alcohol taste was really strong. This corn cake must be the worst thing I have ever eaten. Vegetarian pasta was nice. Lamb was good!
Round Four: Had smoked salmon, more prawns, and the other choice of pizza. The smoked salmon was good cause it wasn't too salty like all others I have eaten. I preferred this pizza cause the capsicum taste went well with the chao da taste.
Desserts: Lychee thing, apple crumble, black forest cake, strawberry mousse, mango tart, pear cake. The lychee thing was good! Don't know what it is though. The apple crumble is THE BEST apple crumble I have ever eaten. Wanted another helping but was too full. I'm not a huge fan of chocolate cakes but the black forest cake was not bad. So was the strawberry mousse. Don't like small fruit tarts so I'm not the best judge as to whether it was good. Pear cake was okay.

Fried silver fish! Totally yummy. Love it.

Roast duck. One of the best roast duck I've ever eaten. A little tough though, but that's cause the duck is non-fatty at all.
Scallop fried rice! Not extremely xiang but was really good.
Dinner with a view.
