Don't ever say things you don't mean. Cause you don't even know how much it hurts.

I now realise why it's not really easy or enough to count the number of times you felt happy because you made someone else happy. Because happiness, while being one of the most important things in the world, is a low-order emotion, one of the first few emotions we experience. Being appreciated and acknowledged is a higher-order emotion that would really supplement happiness, and make everything worthwhile. On the other hand, being used, is something I'm feeling now. And I really, really hate it. And hate is a strong word that I have conscientiously reduced in using.
