There is profound depth in life and love that we cannot understand. What is life? What is love? Descriptions and explanations would not completely answer these questions; they merely give different views on what these are. Different individuals interpret life and love differently. Some live for love, some associate love with life - without love, they seemingly have no life (for the lack of better phrasing), and by loving they are living. Perhaps the simplest way to relate the two is by loving life. In essence, no one can define life or love explicitly such that another person can completely comprehend what they mean.To me, love isn't about getting into a relationship with someone. It isn't about holding each others' hands, though it is physical affection which is a part of love. Someone once said, "Open your heart to trust people, because though you risk getting hurt by them, the memories you've created and the happiness you'd have had is too precious to pass up." Love is about being able to take a leap of faith in a person despite the (my) intrinsic nature of not being able to fully trust anyone. Naturally if your trust has been broken countless times by the ones you love, you'd be afraid to trust anybody, even yourself. To love a person is to know that you can trust him or her more than you can trust yourself. Love is a powerful and miraculous thing that we all take for granted, for example, using the word "love" excessively without meaning it. Love isn't only about the happiness you feel when you are together with the ones you love, but also the pain you feel when you miss them and are separated from them.
Take the chance, while you can, to plainly tell someone that you love them, that you are grateful for them, and appreciate everything they've done for you. Too many people miss this opportunity, but many don't learn from their mistakes.
