The family is the basic social unit. Socialisation starts from the family. Learning of socially accepted behaviours starts from the family, and some are learnt through interactions with people outside the family. Of course, most would argue that the learning of anti-social behaviour starts from friends. However, without reinforcement, would these behaviours be perpetuated?

So mummy, guess where I learnt to lie? Or more specifically, who I learnt that from? I found it highly disturbing to hear what you said over the phone to your friend. You want to talk about trust and words? Let's talk about you first. Enough of hypocrisy.

You don't know what it does to me. You don't even care.
