Just now on the bus back home I overheard these two guys talking about one of the guy's experience of breaking up. Okay I know eavesdropping is bad but really, how could I not hear or listen to them. Anyway it was rather insightful, and listening to guys' take on break ups just made me realise that guys are really more sensitive than we think they are (and more sensitive than they let on). Anyway, as the bus got more and more crowded I couldn't hear them anymore but I distinctly remember one line: "She doesn't treasure what she has. Even friendships." Which really made me reflect yet again on how fragile relationships, whether with family or friends, are. The overused saying goes "you'll never know what you have till it's gone". Why wait till it's gone to show that you appreciate it though? The fact is that everyone takes for granted everything (or at least something) they have, there's no use denying it. Show or tell someone you love them today. And mean it.

Today I dreaded Philosophy class, which is weird because Philosophy is my favourite module now. The topic this week was Physicalism, and whether the mental is a subset of the physical. It was pretty confusing, because Physicalism and Dualism seemed a little alike to me. I managed to write around 2 pages of notes from the lecture though most of it was copied off the slides heh heh.

Enough of words that cut like blades
