OK, these are the science camp pics.

First, pound the onions to increase surface area.(Seriously, I memorised the steps already.)

Then, soak in 10 ml saline solution for 30 seconds.

Add 3ml of water to dilute & increase the solution.

Then decant it into a boiling tube.

Then add ice cold alcohol to allow the DNA to precipitate out; DNA is insoluable in ice cold alcohol.

Leave it to stand for about 7 minutes to 12 minutes.

Yup, the white stuff is the DNA of the onion.

Yeah, that's all. Did that about 5 times with the J2s and 3 times myself. Haha. Then we were bored so I started this countdown thing.

You have no idea how happy we were to see this. But they didn't release us until quite long after the last group came la.

Oh well, it was quite fun learning how to extract DNA.
